When a sales team says "we need more volume", the instinct is to buy a parallel dialer, add an SDR, or crank sequence sends. We got asked for exactly that by a Series B team whose reps were stuck at ~100 dials a day.
The actual bottleneck was upstream. Reps spent their mornings building lists by hand because they did not trust the CRM. They cross-checked numbers because half were dead. They researched accounts because the records were empty. The dialing was slow because everything feeding the dialing was broken.
So we fixed the feeding system: resolved the account universe, enriched and validated every direct-dial through a waterfall, and shipped a nightly-scored queue so reps opened a ready list at 9am. Then, and only then, the dialer mattered. Volume went from ~100 to 1,500+ dials a day per rep, with every SDR booking 2+ meetings daily.
The general rule: execution tools amplify whatever data layer they sit on. Amplified garbage is just faster garbage. Amplified clean data is a machine.
This is why every engagement we take, including pure outbound builds, starts with the same unglamorous work: dedupe, resolve, enrich, validate, score. It is also why those projects keep working after we leave. Clean data compounds. Duct tape does not.
