Custom signals, territory-routed at the right time

For a Series C data privacy platform, we scraped custom data points across the internet and turned them into buying signals, territory-assigned and delivered to the right rep at the right moment.

The situation

A Series C data privacy platform sold into a market where timing is everything: a company's obligations change the moment it enters new jurisdictions, adopts new tracking tech, or gets hit by new regulation. Generic intent data could not see any of that. Reps were finding out about trigger events weeks late, or never.

What we built

A custom signal engine that watches the open web instead of buying stale intent feeds:

  • Custom scrapers monitoring the exact, niche data points that predict a deal: privacy-policy changes, cookie-stack changes, new-market launches, regulatory exposure markers, hiring patterns in privacy roles.
  • Evidence chains. Every signal shipped with its sources attached, so a rep could open the alert and see exactly why it fired.
  • Territory resolution. Signals were matched against the CRM's territory model before delivery. The right rep got the alert, not a shared channel everyone ignores.
  • Right-time delivery. Alerts landed in the rep's workflow (CRM task + Slack) the day the signal fired, scored so the highest-value triggers surfaced first.

The result

Reps opened conversations with prospects days after a trigger event instead of quarters. Because every signal was territory-assigned and evidence-backed, adoption was immediate: the alerts read like a researcher on the team had found the account, because functionally one had. It just never slept.
